Pre-Care Instruction Before Appointment

• Keep the area CLEAN. Use cotton pads soaked with water to clean your lips and gently wipe away excess fluid and pigment.
• Stay away from dirty makeup on the freshly tattoo lips for couple days and don’t touch your hands on an open skin that might cause infection.
• Use clean Q-tips to apply after care ointment that I will give it to you after your procedure. Use the oitnment provided on a clean lips 3 times daily for 3 days. If you have allergic reaction to the antibiotic ointment, i.e. redness, rash and swelling, stop using it and see your doctor immediately.
• Avoid eating spicy and salty food. Use straw to drink for the first a few days. Salt can remove the pigments and cause colour lost.
• You might feel dry lips and itchy because your dermal layer of your skin is healing. Keep the lips MOISTURIZED for next 4 -14 days, you can use any of this: Bacitracin Zinc, Polysporin, Vitamin A & D, or Vaseline.
• The ointment provides pain relief, moisturizes, prevents infection, promotes healing and helps retain colour.
• Avoid soaps/facial cleansers on pigmented areas (wash around them) pat dry with a clean towel.
• Before showering, use Aftercare first and apply Vaseline on top. Do not directly shower the treated area.
• Before sleeping, use Aftercare as well as a thick layer of Vaseline or A&D
• Ointment on top to keep the area moisturized overnight.
• DO NOT rub, scratch or pick any crust along the tattooed area. Early removal of pigment crusts may result in lost colour.
• DO NOT apply makeup on the pigmented area during the healing process.
• Avoid swimming, soaking, steam bath and facials for the 1 st week.
• Avoid applying Exfoliates or AHA/glycolic acid products to the tattooed area for at least 2 weeks.
• Avoid sun exposure (including tanning beds) during healing process.

• Use a good sunscreen daily with SPF 30 up to SPF 50 on tattooed area otherwise the colour will fade faster.
• Our pigment is iron-oxide based which your body absorbs as mineral irons, so the color will fade over time. You may need a touch-up every 1- 3 years. The fading speed depends on your skin type.
• If you are planning a chemical peel, MRI or other medical procedure, please tell them that you have had an iron-oxide cosmetic tattoo
• If you are planning to have laser treatment for example like laser teeth whitening, tell your laser specialist to avoid the pigmented area. Laser may cause pigment to into different color or colour lost.

After care is crucial, it is very important to follow these instructions for the full 14 day healing period to ensure proper healing and color retention. Results may vary.

Cosmetic tattoos take between 4-6 weeks to fully heal. At this time you may receive your touch-up if any color has faded, or if you would simply like to add more definition to your brows.

After the topical anesthetic wears off you may feel some tenderness on and around the tattooed area. You may also experience slight swelling and redness the day of your procedure; this is normal and typically fades within 24-48 hours. At this point you may take Tylenol if you feel any pain, but avoid Aspirin or Ibuprofen as it can cause blood thinning.

• Let your brow tattoos DRY HEAL FOR 24-48 HOURS after the procedure avoiding excessive moisture
• Take Q-tip with water and wipe brows a couple times for the first 2 days
• Apply a paper thin layer of ointment on brows starting from 3rd day for 7 days. If you have oily skin, don’t use the ointment.
• Absolutely no water contact on brows till healed (besides Q-tip)
• Avoid direct sun contact till brows are fully healed. When healed use SPF
• No swimming, sauna, or working out till brows are fully healed
  You may experience itchiness in the brows after the 10 days for up to 2 months due to the healing process of the dermal layer
• Avoid picking or scratching of scabs, this will result scaring and colour loss

• This is a 2 step process. The First Session is used to build shape and gain symmetry. The Second Session is used to perfect the brows and we can add density. This is a process and some clients may need multiple sessions to achieve their desired result.
• Please keep in mind, it is your responsibility to book your touch up appointments on time for best results.
• Be patient during your 4 weeks healing process your brows will change and appear different from day to day, THIS IS NORMAL.
• Your brow tattoo will take up to 6-8 weeks to fully heal.
• Every individual heals differently, depending on skin type, aftercare, and lifestyle
• Colour of the brow may appear light at first, but will darken over the next couple of weeks
• Brows rarely heal perfect after one session
• Touch up must be completed within 6 weeks to 3 months of initial appointment to be considered a touch up
• A touch up is usually recommended to achieve the final look and to ensure it lasts for a longer period of time
• Any patchiness can be fixed during the touch up session
• Some client’s skin may have a harder time retaining pigment and may require additional sessions

• DO NOT go on any sunny vacations and avoid high sun exposure during the healing process, UV Rays can alter the pigment of your tattoo.
• DO NOT use cleansers, soaps or any other creams on your brow tattoo. Wash around the area using a cleaning cloth or makeup wipe.
• DO NOT exercise and sweat for 10 days. Sweat contains salt and can infect and prematurely fade your brow tattoo. Salt in the sweat may also alter the color of your tattoo.
• DO NOT run direct water on your brow tattoo. This is especially important in the first few days, you do not want to wash out any pigment.

• DO NOT use Vaseline, neosproin or any petroleum based products on your tattoo.
• DO NOT use any makeup, creams, exfoliants on the brows for 2 weeks.
• DO NOT go into sauna’s, pools, and steam rooms.
• DO NOT get massages or facials or skin treatments during the healing process.
• DO NOT go tanning and if you do cover your brow tattoo, UV rays can alter the color of your tattoo.
• DO not use exfoliants,retinol acids, or AHA’s on the area for 30 days after the appointment, it will fade your tattoo prematurely.
• DO NOT use laser light therapy on your brow tattoo. This can darken, lighten, and distort the pigment.

Splash your eyes with water and wash off any pigment residue immediately after the procedure. Pat dry gently with a clean tissue.

• Wash the skin around the eyes twice a day (morning & night) using a gentle, unscented soap (Cetaphil or baby shampoo). Use your fingertips to cleanse gently and pat dry with a clean tissue.
• Apply ointment 2-3 times a day for up to 7 days for thick eyeliner (OMIT FOR LASH LINE LINER).
• Scabs will take about 7 -10 days to peel off. Do not pick at the scabs or peel them off prematurely.
• Swelling and redness is normal for the first few days.
• Slight stinging sensation in the first few days is also normal.
• The colour will fade approximately 30-50% lighter when the scabs fall off. This is completely normal. Do not feel discouraged if the fading is more than you expected.
• To achieve the perfect eyeliner, we need to see how your skin accepts the initial application and a touch-up appointment is where we will perfect the shape and colour.
• No eye makeup is allowed until the scabs completely fall off.
• Avoid sweaty exercises such as hot saunas, hot yoga, and swimming for 1 month

• The eyeliner will start to form scabs and they might look dark and thick. As the skin heals, the scabs will fall off in random pieces and might look patchy.
• Flaking and crusting on the tattoo area may occur.
• Avoid pulling off the scabs that are dried on the lashes.
• When you try to pull off the scabs that are hanging on your lashes, ensure the scabs are soft enough to slide off from the lashes. Use a mascara brush to help remove the scabs.

• Swelling occurs up to 3 days after the procedure, especially in the morning.
• Exercising the eyes can help reduce swelling and puffiness. Try blinking actively for 2 minutes in the morning.
• To relieve swelling, you can ice the area with soft gel ice packs.Splash your eyes with water and wash off any pigment residue immediately after the procedure. Pat dry gently with a clean tissue.
